Sorry for the late post...

Sorry for the delay in posts everyone. We decided to do this blog and of course we got super busy. We actually do have posts to post. We're going to Africa on a mission trip on Saturday and it seems that every day there is something that needs to be done. We will definitely try to do better in the future.

However, something short and sweet to share. Chobani plain Greek yogurt. It's an amazing product. Why? It can be used as a substitute for so many things! We love using it as sour cream. It tastes just like it but it's so much healthier for you. I have attached a picture with more ideas for substituting. Try it out.

A little snippet about why we're here......

Hello, my name is Mary and this blog will follow our life as a married couple living in the city trying to be self-sufficient in our economy. I work full-time and still help with our house chores. We have a dog named Jasper and he’s fun and quirky. We will be getting a puppy in a little over a month too. I love to cook and to try new things, so the past 6 months or so has been a learning time for me working through recipes and making them my own. We try to eat healthy, which doesn't mean that we do all the time, but we definitely try.

Ryan also works full time and helps with the house. He is qualified as a family herbalist and did online correspondence for a year and a half. So some of our posts will be about medicinal herbs and how to use them, cultivate them, use them as tinctures, etc. He protects our home and makes sure we are safe. He is a wonderful provider and protector of our home and family.

Proverbs 6:6-8

Proverbs 6:6-8 Go to the ant, O sluggard, observe her ways and be wise, which, having no chief, officer or ruler, prepares her food in the summer and gathers her provision in the harvest.
